Different from cheap single-layer PU or TPU waterproof coating, our outdoor jacket adopts a 3-layer composite system built around premium GORE-TEX expanded PTFE (ePTFE) functional membrane coating.
Outer PFAS-Free DWR Repellent CoatingThe fabric surface is covered with eco-friendly DWR water-repellent coating. It forms a protective layer to stop rainwater from soaking into the fabric base. All raindrops condense into round beads and roll away directly, avoiding extra weight caused by water absorption. This upgraded fluorine-free formula meets global environmental standards without toxic PFOS/PFOA substances.
Core GORE-TEX ePTFE Functional Membrane (Key Waterproof & Breathable Layer)The core ePTFE membrane contains over 1.4 billion micro-pores per square centimeter. The diameter of liquid rain molecules is 700 times larger than these tiny pores, which completely blocks heavy rain, snow and cold wind to achieve heavy-duty waterproof performance. Meanwhile, human sweat vapor is tiny enough to pass through the pores smoothly and evaporate outside, so you will never feel sticky and damp during long-time hiking or high-intensity sports.Its hydrostatic pressure can reach above 28000mmH₂O, far exceeding Grade I professional standard of GB/T 32614-2023 outdoor jacket. The moisture permeability hits 15000g/(㎡·24h), delivering all-day comfortable ventilation.
Inner Protective Bonding LayerA thin soft lining is attached under the GORE-TEX membrane to prevent friction damage to the micro-pore structure, improving the soft touch of the jacket while keeping the whole shell ultra-lightweight.
